The link above is to an essay I wrote for my environmental issues class about how we could reduce our greenhouse gas emissions to slow climate change.
In this essay, I had several strengths and several weaknesses in my writing that stood out and stuck with me. Some of the strengths in this essay was that I did a lot of research and I properly utilized quotes and data from sources I found online to back up my claim to make it stronger. I also think I did a good job with my organization as I had a lot of different techniques to talk about and kept them all in order and didn’t jump from one to the next without context or proper transition. Yet, I still do have some weaknesses in this essay as well. One of those I believe is that I didn’t provide enough of a “They Say” aspect and talk about what people would say who objected the ideas that I proposed. This, in turn, made my work less credible because it seems that I am only focused on my viewpoint. I also think at times I could get too factual and didn’t provide enough of my own thoughts in certain places.
